Introduction to the comprehensive expansion of the "interface" of the Yangtze River Delta highway: according to the layout of the highway network in the Yangtze River Delta region with intercity multi-channel, multi-channel and multi line, from this year on, Shanghai will carry out an all-round expansion from the three aspects of expressway, national highway and provincial highway according to the adjusted plan. By 2007, all highway entrances and exits connecting with the Yangtze River Delta region will be increased to 35 channels according to the layout of the highway network in the Yangtze River Delta region with multiple intercity channels and channels and multiple lines, from this year on, Shanghai will carry out an all-round expansion in terms of highways, national roads and provincial roads according to the adjusted planning. By 2007, all highway entrances and exits connecting the Yangtze River Delta region will be increased to 35 channels and 138 lanes. It is understood that the trend of inter city traffic flow in the Yangtze River Delta has been adjusted from the original closed capital city as the center to strengthen the connection with Shanghai and pay attention to the connection between cities. In 2002, the average daily traffic volume of Shanghai to the outside world was 200000 vehicles, and it has reached 270000 vehicles in 2003. According to the analysis of the future demand growth trend of 40 Cr, 40MnB, 40crni, etc., it is preliminarily predicted that the road traffic volume in and out of Shanghai will be about 650000 vehicles in 2010. However, the number of entrances and exits of 6 external passages and 34 lanes of Shanghai's originally planned expressway can no longer meet the demand of long-term traffic growth. The adjusted Shanghai Expressway will have 10 channels and 60 lanes, 26 lanes more than the original plan, including 20 trunk channels including the national highway and 108 lanes. If other highway entrances and exits are included, by 2007, all highway entrances and exits in Shanghai will have 3, 5 channels and 138 lanes connecting the Yangtze River Delta. By then, the growth rate of Shanghai's import and export capacity will be higher than the growth rate of traffic demand. After the comprehensive expansion of expressways and national and provincial roads, in addition to the increase in the number of channels, their respective service functions will also be changed. The current problems of low operation efficiency caused by long, short distance and mixed passenger and freight vehicles in expressways will be solved, so as to continuously improve the efficiency and operation reliability of urban highway networks
